The Art of Choosing the Perfect Fixtures with Revkah Design

From the moment guests step inside this home, they are greeted not just by architecture but by a sense of warmth and understated elegance. For designer Revkah Gordon of Revkah Design, creating that feeling started with a clear vision: the lighting for the kitchen and dining areas had to feel both elevated and enduring. “We wanted a really special lighting design for our kitchen and dining areas and took our time finding just the right fixtures for these highly visible, heavily used spaces,” Gordon explains. “Our goal was to choose pieces that were unique yet livable—something timeless we could enjoy for years to come. The Antonia Collection gave us just the look we were hoping for in our warm, modern kitchen and dining areas.”
Originality played a critical role in the design process. “We don’t want our interiors to look like everyone else’s,” she says. “Many of our clients appreciate having exclusive, artisan-made pieces, and Fine Art delivers exactly that.” Touring the Fine Art Handcrafted Lighting studio brought a deeper appreciation for the fixtures she chose. “Seeing how these pieces are crafted reinforced how incredibly special the product is. It’s art, not just lighting.”
The selection process required careful attention to scale and presence. With high ceilings and an expansive floor plan, the fixtures needed to command attention without overwhelming the space. The Antonia Collection provided the perfect balance of visual weight and sleek design. “As soon as we saw the fixtures in place, the whole space came into focus,” Gordon recalls.
For Revkah Design, lighting is more than just function—it sets the mood and defines how a space is experienced. “We wanted the kitchen and dining areas to feel elevated and special while remaining practical for everyday use,” she says. “These areas are among the first you see upon entering the residence, so they needed to feel clean, polished, and effortlessly expensive.”
Installation day delivered the kind of moment every designer dreams of. “It was a chest-grabbing ‘ahh’ moment when they turned the lights on for the first time,” Gordon remembers. “We knew they would be beautiful, but seeing them in person felt like unveiling a piece of art.”
Because many of the finishes were already selected, customization was key. “We loved that we could tailor the Antonia Collection to complement our other finish selections,” she says. “The ability to choose from so many options allowed the fixtures to blend seamlessly with the architecture and materials while still standing out as statement pieces.”
Reflecting on the experience, Gordon encourages fellow designers to embrace Fine Art’s collaborative approach. “Dive in and don’t be afraid of the pricing or customization. The Fine Art team truly wants to hear what you envision—and they’ll help bring it to life. That level of partnership ensures you get something extraordinary.”
