At Gavigan & Gruppo, design is an artful collaboration rooted in a reverence for high-quality furnishings, deeply curated spaces, and the seamless layering of modern and traditional motifs. When Nicole Gavigan and Danielle Gruppo discovered the Allison Paladino collection from Fine Art Handcrafted Lighting, they immediately recognized its sculptural elegance and composure—qualities that mirror the essence of their design ethos.
This featured project demonstrates how their mastery at personal storytelling through light found its muse in Allison Paladino’s collection—and how it translated into two distinct spaces with equal impact.
Balancing Heritage with Modernity at the Buffalo Club

“The Buffalo Club is such a historic and iconic space. The architecture is traditional and grand, with this massive fireplace as the anchor of the room. We knew the lighting had to be a statement, but it couldn’t compete — it needed to complement”, explains Nicole Gavigan.

The Allison Paladino fixture became that perfect balance. With its bold yet refined geometry, it introduced a modern layer into the room while still honoring the history of the building. “It’s the first thing you see when you walk in, and it immediately sets the tone,” Nicole explained. “It became the focal point of the entire renovation, and the members have really embraced it as part of their dining experience.”
A Jewel for the Home at Rockledge Residence

That same fixture later caught the eye of a residential client who visited the Buffalo Club. “They fell in love with it instantly. They wanted that same energy in their own home, but of course the context was completely different”, shared Danielle Gruppo.
For the Rockledge kitchen remodel, the fixture became less about scale and grandeur and more about intimacy and finish. “We layered a variety of materials in the kitchen, and the Allison Paladino piece tied it all together. The way the light shines through the gems feels like jewelry for the room — soft, warm, and beautiful. It turns everyday moments in the kitchen into something special.”

The Versatility of Inspired Design
What struck this design duo most was how the collection adapted seamlessly to both environments. “That’s the beauty of Allison Paladino’s work,” Danielle reflected. “It can anchor a historic club with a strong architectural presence, and it can also bring warmth and elegance to a private home. It proves how truly versatile the collection is.”
In both projects, the Allison Paladino collection didn’t just light the space — it transformed it.
