Asked about the interpretation for “Lior,” designer Alex Woogmaster responded: “Lior in Hebrew can mean my light, and light to me, both of which seemed appropriate for my first design collaboration with Fine Art. The fixtures are influenced by the ephemeral appearance of illuminated rock crystal, which has here been interpreted into handmade glassworks with the collaboration of the Fine Art studio glass master craftsmen. Lior is meant to evoke a primal sense of craftsmanship: formed of glass spires that mimic natural crystal formations as much as they do rays of sunlight, and clean metal lines in unadorned but precious finishes—all inspired by the raw sense of wonder Adam might have had upon first seeing light on Earth. Available in silver leaf, gold leaf, or patinated bronze.
